Dead ends in vibe coding

I was feeling so good about all the code I was “writing.”

Vibe coding apps here, websites there. AI was my gateway to trying out bold developer things I would’ve never dreamed of touching. Hell yes I can write APIs, NoSQL backends, and regex.

But now I’m stuck.

I was trying to package a Python backend and a React frontend into one executable. How hard could that be? But I just can’t get it to work. Hallucinations and errors everywhere. One of the AI-generated .exe’s opened an infinite loop browsers that crashed my computer.

The worst part is that I don’t know where to begin fixing this. With Javascript, I kind of know my way around to eventually make things work.

I’m in the Valley of Despair of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

It’s humbling. But motivating. There’s so much more to learn.
