Vibe coding is dead
AI is more than just hype.

Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Seriously though, this AI thing is more than just hype. I pretended to understand crypto and web3, and lost a whole bunch of money on dubious investments as a result.
But AI? This thing is literally changing the way I build things.
I’ve been vibe coding since 2023 when I realized ChatGPT could write code. It was a bit tedious: I’d have to copy bits of code back and forth between ChatGPT and VSCode. But I was finally building my own ideas. It was exciting.
And it’s even better now.
The feedback loop between idea to working software has been dramatically reduced. With tools like Cursor and Windsurf, I’ve been able to build apps and websites in days instead of months.
But it’s not perfect. The other day, Windsurf got stuck in a dead end and started hallucinating API endpoints. It started rewriting entire swathes of code trying to fix an issue. I eventually read the docs myself, changed one line manually and got the app working.
Still, it’s amazing how far you can get by simply conversing within a chat interface.
Bringing your ideas to life feels good. Bringing your ideas to life FAST takes those good vibes to another level.
I’ll be talking more about vibe coding and how to bring your ideas to life next week. Join me:

P.S. I love Stack Overflow, but it can’t beat AI-generated code specifically for my project. That’s honestly AI’s biggest differentiator: personalization.
P.P.S. AI gave me the courage to finally start using Git, the command line, and APIs.
