Trust me bro.
AX = Trust.

That's my summary of the book AX: The Rise of Agentic Experience.
Seriously though, the key word in the book is "trust." Features can be easily copied now with LLMs. And anyone can rent cutting-edge AI models. But trust is earned, and it compounds once it's earned.
The book explores the move from interface to relationship design through multiple lenses. But it confirmed the feeling I've had for the past year: classic UX has hit its max.
Traditional UIs dictate user behavior. AX flips this, with users conducting the interface.
The big question I have and the one I'm most interested in is: what does a disappearing interface look like? The smarter the machine gets, the lighter the interface becomes.
Here's my key highlight from the book:
"The companies that win in an invisible UI world will be those that understand the user's work flow so deeply that the software anticipates needs before they're consciously recognized. This requires cultural fluency, behavioral insight and domain expertise that cannot be copied overnight."
