I don't feel like writing

But I must be consistent

Writing is the only thing I’ve been doing consistently besides Duolingo (716 day streak).

It’s not that I’m struggling to find topics to talk about. I have a 100+ ideas that need to be processed into something intelligible. And that process takes the longest time.

The audience and permanence also increases the time it takes to write something:

DMs and texting: a few seconds

Tweets and emails: a few minutes

LinkedIn: hours

Case Studies:

The visibility and permanence of putting something out publicly requires rigor. You can’t be sloppy with your thinking.

The other problem is that I write like I design: I keep overcrafting instead of just releasing and learning.

My regularity has fallen off in my other routines: dieting, working out, journaling etc. But I'll still do it inconsistently, because some imperfect progress is better than no progress.

Make something, even if it sucks. The good news is that your initially mediocre work will only force you to improve.
